Privacy Policy

This page is maintained by the Journeys team to answer common privacy questions about the Journeys app. It describes the data we collect, how we use it, who processes it on our behalf, and how you can delete it.
What we collect
- Account: email address, and — if you use Sign in with Apple or Google — the account identifier they return.
- Trip content: the prompts, destinations, dates, notes, comments, and collaborators you add to a trip.
- SMS Coach (optional): your mobile phone number and the SMS messages you exchange with your Journeys agent. Only linked when you subscribe.
- Basic technical data: IP address and user agent, used to deliver the service and prevent abuse. Not sold, not used for cross-app advertising.
How we use it
To provide the trip-planning service you signed up for: saving trips, collaborating with people you invite, and — if you opt in — sending SMS from your Journeys agent. We do not sell your data and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
Service providers
- Lovable Cloud (Supabase): hosts our database, authentication, and file storage.
- Telnyx: delivers the SMS messages when you subscribe to SMS Coach.
- Google Maps: renders map and place data inside the app.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and security practices. We only share the minimum needed for the feature to work.
SMS terms
SMS is opt-in. Message frequency is recurring, tied to activity on your trips (typically fewer than 10 messages per month). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, or HELP for help. You can also unsubscribe on your Account page. We do not share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing.
Data retention & deletion
You can delete your account at any time from the Account page. Deletion is permanent: all your trips, comments, collaborators, SMS messages, preferences, and phone link are removed within a few seconds. There is no "hidden" copy — the underlying database cascades deletion.
Children
Journeys is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
